Q : Is accommodation provided for locums?
A : Many hospital trusts do provide accommodation, with some this is free for a period, and then is chargeable. Some hospitals provide free accommodation for the entire locum period, whilst others may charge an amount from the beginning. Every hospital trust is different, but this will be explained to you on an individual basis prior to you accepting a post.
Q : I have a limited company, can I invoice you gross?
A : Yes, you can invoice us on a weekly basis if you are a limited company. We need to know your Limited Company registration number and it has to be done on your company headed paper.
Q : My permanent post is in the EU or overseas, can I work in the UK?
A : You can work as a doctor as long as you have full registration with the General Medical Council. We can advise on UK visas for suitable non EU doctors, please talk to one of our staff. GMC Registration
Q : Can I bring my family?
A : Yes. Different hospital trusts have different accommodation levels, hence in one trust you may be able to get married or family accommodation for free, whilst at another one there may be different charge rates for the type of accommodation you require, even single. Equally a few hospitals are prepared to pay a monthly retainer if you want to rent a place outside and not use their hospital accommodation. We can help with finding a new home.
Q : I’m an non UK resident, Do I need a work permit?
A : You can work as a doctor as long as you have full registration with the General Medical Council.
