HIGHLY SKILLED MIGRANT PROGRAM

As an alternative to a Work Permit, you can apply under the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme.

Although it takes a much longer period to obtain (i.e. 3 months) than a Work Permit, once you obtain this pass, it can be renewed on an annual basis.

This enables you to work in the U.K. at a variety of hospitals, rather than a Work Permit application which needs to be obtained for each individual hospital at which you wish to work.It also speeds up the process in the future when you wish to work in the U.K. as this covers you on a yearly basis regardless of the hospital in which you intend to work ,and there is no need then to apply for a separate Work Permit.

Again your family can be listed on this as dependants.
